PROJECT OVERVIEW
The project involved designing a retail outlet for Karijini Skincare products. Our aim was to create a quiet, aromatic space that reflects the brand’s calming nature, offering customers a peaceful retreat from the overstimulating environment of the shopping centre. The design invites customers to journey through a memorable and atmospheric experience—one that leaves a lasting impression of the brand and helps cultivate customer loyalty.
The name Karijini means “hilly place,” referring to the Pilbara’s Karijini National Park—an area renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty.
Karijini is a new and distinctive skincare brand offering a range of carefully formulated natural and organic products. Designed to be gentle and nourishing, the products protect and rejuvenate the skin against nature’s harsh elements, making them suitable for all skin types and ages. What sets Karijini apart is its use of uniquely sourced ingredients, drawn from the native botanicals and wildflowers of the Pilbara region in Western Australia.
This was a collaborative group project developed alongside my peers Bianca Zeidler-Fenn, Siew NG, and Senay Gulkesan, whose contributions were integral to the success of the assignment. We worked together under the studio name Studio Gaia, formed with the vision of creating evocative spaces inspired by the Earth’s natural phenomena. This project was a strong example of teamwork and creative synergy, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the collaborative design process.
